Rabbits On A Sunday

It's Sunday morning and once again we are at the Periwinkles' new home to see what they are up to. James is already up and making his and his wife Julie's bed.

Pip and Molly have decided to relax inside Julie's house slippers. They are so small that Julie's slippers are as large as boats to them.

Nevertheless, Pip is struggling to find the "right" position.

Still struggling...

Aaah... That's better!

Now we are in the knitting and reading room. Why are there Julie's and Jemima's dresses without Julie and Jemima in them?

I see, Jemima is downstairs in the bathroom doing her business on the comfortable new toilet. So is Quackie.

In the meantime Julie has filled the bathtub with warm water. Now they are both in the tub. Jemima does not know that Mommy is planning on scrubbing her squeaky clean.

There comes the soapy sponge and Quackie falls into the bath water out of fright. A rubber duck that doesn't like soap water? Hmmm...
Jemima is wiggling with her short little arms and legs as her mother attempts to wash her.

Finished. While Julie rubs herself dry with a fluffy pink towel, Jemima is allowed to play inside the tub. She likes her new little bath toys. Especially Dido the Dolfin.
What are you playing, Jemima?

"Mima pway Mommy kiss chidwin gooobye in da moening befoe dey go kindagahden."

Quackie is leaning forward in an attempt to count each and every kiss. The other toys aren't allowed to receive any more kisses than her. She must always make sure of this. After all, she is Jemima's favourite.

Finally the rabbits are clean and dry and Julie is helping Jemima get dressed.

While Julie goes into the kitchen to prepare breakfast...

...Jemima plays "life in the village" with her toy rabbit Pink Sally and with Quackie...

...and Daddy makes some calls to friends and relatives on the new telephone.

And now, as a special treat for all you nosy people out there that are always looking into other peoples' tubs and living rooms, here is a photograph of the entire house. ;)

But oh... someone didn't make her bed this morning. I guess little Jemima doesn't like her plain white bedsheets very much...

for your comments
and have a great week! :)

  1. James is a very considerate gentlerabbit. Making the beds is a great help for busy Julie. Most of all I love Pip and Molly's "beds". It was fun visiting your blog.
    Hugs, Drora

    1. Thank you, Drora. :)

Although Julie might seem a bit busier today than James, their relationship is all about team work. :)

  2. I really like quakies toilet and the little village!

    1. Jemima loves playing with her new toys! :)

  3. I love those bath scenes, they seem so peaceful and show the harmonic family life of your Periwinkels :). Still giggling about the toilet picture :D I just realized that the parents habe two beds - very comfortable!
Viele liebe Grüße und einen schönen Sonntagabend,
    Kyra :)

    1. Hallo Kyra!

Thanks for your thoughts on this story! :)

Yes, James and Julie purchased two individual beds, since one did not seem large enough for them to share.

Liebe Grüsse zurück und einen tollen Wochenstart!!

  4. Aww, Jemima and her mother are so sweet! I love seeing Jemima play with all her toys, especially the dollhouses.
I am definitely one of the nosy people who likes to see into the dollhouses!
I am really enjoying looking at the Perwinkles. Another lovely post!
    A xx

      Sehr spannend. :)

  6. Lovely story it was so cute seeing Julia and Jemima in the bath. Jamima has beautiful toys to play with.
    Hugs Maria

    1. Thank you, Maria! Jemima loves to imagine things and makes up new stories and games all the time. :)

  7. I love to see The Perinwkles in their new home. The pictures of Pip and Molly trying to relax inside Julie´s slippers are really funny. Jemima is such a cute baby. She looks adorable when playing with her dollhouses and kissing her bath toys.
Thank you very much for the last picture. It´s nice to have a view of the whole house. It´s so beautiful!

    1. You are very welcome, Cutata. Thanks for reading and for your comment. :))

  8. Awww. love this. Your house is so pretty with it's decorations. I had to laugh at the bathroom scene, and her tail and bottom peeping from behind the towel :) :) Was a happy little household going about their every day.

    1. Thank you so much for your comment! :)

Yes, the Periwinkles are very happy to be able to enjoy their new household and all the comfort it offers. :)

They are especially happy about the toilet and bathtub. :))

  9. Hallo Nina,

Liebe Grüsse und eine schöne Woche!!
